This is the story of Johann Michael Lindenmuth,

"This Wretched World: The Journal of John Michael Lindenmuth"

For most of his life Johann Michael Lindenmuth Jr kept a diary, chronicling his time in "this wretched world". Follow his journey as a child in Germany, coming to America, serving in the French and Indian War, as well as the Revolutionary War, while raising a family of 11 children in the wilderness of Pennsylvania!  ​
