Our Friday Afternoon Refreshment Time (FART) group started out as just a handful of "tradesmen" who would stop for a beer most Friday afternoons, to talk about their week and unwind. They met in the studio of our friend's (Eddie G) frame shop in Bloomsburg.

Within time our group grew, as friends of the friends started attending, and we'd all pitch in for pizza, snacks, and libations. But poor Eddie... Some Friday nights he couldn't close up his studio/shop until way after midnight! So one week we offered to give Eddie a break, and we "called FART" at our home, HALFWAY ACRES.

From then on we would wait during the course of the week to see who would call FART next. There were at least a dozen different friends who would open their home or business to meet together and blow off steam from the week. What was once a quick beer with a few folks turned into a regular Friday night gathering of multi-generational friends, whom we now consider our FART family.

Our most recent gathering was actually on a Saturday, for the wedding of
Roger Tapp III and Ashley Lopez, on October 25, 2025.
​We had a lovely time at one of our favorite FART spots ─ the Kiwi Berry Farm.
